Justice Awakens Christian Soft Rock Anthem – Let Justice Roll by Malachi Ben-David
“Hear the cry of the voiceless rising through the night… Let justice roll like waters, let mercy be the stream.”
Malachi Ben-David’s stirring “Justice Awakens” is a powerful Christian soft rock anthem that gives voice to one of the most consistent themes in all of Scripture — God’s fierce, tender heart for the oppressed.
This scripture-rooted Christian rock song is a call to the church: do justly, love mercy, walk humbly with the Lord, and let justice roll down like an unstoppable river.
The Story & Heart of “Justice Awakens”
The song opens with the cry of the vulnerable — the fatherless, the widow, the poor and the forgotten. It names God as Father to the fatherless and Refuge for the weak, then turns to the prophets and to Christ Himself.
Isaiah, Amos, and Micah all refused to separate worship from justice. Jesus opened His ministry with good news to the poor and freedom for the oppressed. The song carries that same prophetic edge: “Wake the sleeping church, O God,” and lands on the words of Jesus — “Whatever you’ve done for the least of these, you’ve done for Me.”

Why This Song Matters
“Justice Awakens” is a much-needed Christian soft rock anthem for a church that sometimes loves its worship services while ignoring the oppression around it. It refuses to pit worship against justice — it insists they belong together, exactly as the prophets and Jesus did. This song is a powerful reminder that caring for the vulnerable is not a distraction from faith; it is the evidence of it.
